A place for notes (and comments on notes) towards the creation of a Warren Wilson College performance project scheduled for Fall, 2006 which looks at racial identity and in particular how the idea of "white" as a marker of identity and privilege has been constructed and performed. The starting point is the 1710 visit to London by "Four Indian Kings" (four sachems of the Iroquois Confederation), with particular attention paid to performances staged at that time.
